How to make a Christmas certificate

  1. Type the child's name exactly as you want it to appear on the certificate.
  2. Choose Nice List, Naughty List, an Elf on the Shelf “I'm back!” note, or the full Nice/Naughty List.
  3. Pick a template for that certificate type — each has its own layout.
  4. Edit the wording so the reason (or your elf's message) is personal to your child.
  5. Download the finished certificate as an A4 PDF to keep or print later.

Nice, Naughty and Elf on the Shelf certificates

Nice List certificates confirm a child has earned their place before Christmas Eve — ideal for a Christmas Eve box, a stocking, or a note left beside the mince pies.

Naughty List certificates keep things light-hearted: a gentle warning from Santa with time still left to earn presents back.

Scout elf certificates announce that your elf is back from the North Pole for the holiday season, with your elf's name and a message for its first day on the shelf.

Nice/Naughty List certificates show the whole North Pole list with your child's name highlighted among it — and every name on the list can be edited.

Questions parents ask

Is there a certificate for the day the scout elf is back?
Yes — the elf certificate announces that your elf is back from the North Pole for the holiday season, with your own elf name and message.
Does it work for the UK and the USA?
Yes — switch the wording and signature between Santa Claus and Father Christmas, and every Christmas certificate is laid out for A4.
What paper and size should I print on?
The certificates are laid out for A4. Standard printer paper works well, and slightly thicker card gives a more official North Pole feel.
How do I get my certificate?
Yes — the download button creates an A4 PDF directly, ready to keep, share or print.
Is it free?
Designing and previewing is free. The preview carries a watermark; a one-off £1.49 payment removes it and unlocks the PDF download.
Do you store my child's name?
No. The name and wording you type stay in your own browser — see our privacy notice.
